What are Birdbies?

The Characters
Birdbies are 1000 unique 3D voxel bird-like creatures, created by Artist Johnny Otto then registered on the Ethereum blockchain. No algorithms were used to generate these one-of-a-kind works of art. Each was handcrafted by the Artist himself. Each has its own personality and is ready to be collected (cooped).

Rarity
Usually once you create a 3D Voxel, such as a Meebit, you also are left with the original .vox file, which can be reopened and modified, and saved as a .OBJ or other type of file, but we decided to destroy all files related to each Birdbie, so that no other incarnations could be made. This also means that each Birdbie is only visible from one angle and cannot be used in any sort of gameplay. That is a sacrifice that we happily made in order to keep the Birdbies as rare as possible.

Names and Characteristics
Birdbies is already a funny, made up name, so it only makes sense that each of them has a funny, made up name. Birdbie names are not indicative of any Field Identifiable Subspecies. Their names are only meant as nicknames and not meant to separate them by individual traits or characteristics. For instance, a Nattapoo can have a large crest or a small one. It can have wings that are a different color than its body or it can be all one color. In other words, all Birdbies are one species without separate subspecies. So, when you are cooping them, they can all thrive together and do not require different or varying methods of care.

They each have wings, chicken-like legs, beaks, eyes, and some sort of "crest" or "crown" on the top of their head. The Plumage can be one solid color, or multi-colored, some are even spotted. Several have stripes that run from front to back and some have colored bellies. As much as they have in common, they have nothing in common. That is the Birdbie way.

Cooping
This is what we call "collecting". Birdbies are wild and untamed, some say, 'untamable', so it's best that they are cooped and not left out in the wild.

ERC-721
The contract that governs ownership of these NFTs is the standard
ERC-721 that works with any compatible service or exchange. We like to use OPENSEA to showcase and sell our Birdbies.

Creation
Each of the Birdbies was created one at a time, block by block, using MagicaVoxel a free to use program for Mac and Windows.

Release
The Birdbies will be released 50 at a time until those 50 are sold. Once the first 50 are sold then 50 more will be released and so on.

Rendering
Each Birdbie is rendered on a black background to further enhance the vibrant colors. Resolution is 300 pixel/inch. Total size of the canvas (black background and Birdbie) is 6000 pixel by 5000 pixel.

Fun Factor
We can't tell you how much fun you will have buying and trading Birdbies. That is totally up tp you. Maybe you will only coop one of these rare creatures, and maybe you'll try to coop as many as possible. Just have fun, that's what we say.
